Hi Jo,
Me before you was the first book of yours that I read, it was wonderful!
the best book I have read in a long time, I took it into work and I think it has been read and passed on to at least twelve people by now!
I have also read Silver Bay which again I loved and am now reading Ship of Brides which I find so interesting that this is based on a true story. I find I can’t put it down.
Just wanted to say well done, its such a pleasure to discover a new writer who I enjoy so much.

Thanks Sabina. So pleased you enjoyed it. And I will always be awestruck by certain other writers. I think if you admired someone before you were published somehow they will always be further up that lofty literary ladder than you, no matter how many books you’ve published….

I’ve just read ‘me before you’ – put forward as our Book Club read. I wasnt sure as the nominee put ‘the slap’ forward last time which was AWFUL. Happily your book couldnt have been more different. I have never been so affected by a story and its characters and i just cried and cried for the last quarter of it – the most beautiful love story beautifully told and i cant wait to read your other titles. Reading the “mummy porn” novel ‘fifty shades of grey’ now – not sure it makes for a trilogy though.

I’m now 57 and have devoured bookms all my life and almost shudder to think how many in total I must have ploughed through. Reading your blog above is amazing: Lady, don’t you know that ‘Me before You’is the best book I have every read (and that now also includes friends and family, who I insisted must read this amazing book). Yet you are praising other authors as above as if you weren’t even a writer yourself! I take my hat off to you, Jojo Moyes! Oh – and thanks for the recommendations! I agree on the Hunger Games, although by the time I read the third one I was somewhat mentally exhausted and somehow it didn’t strike the same chord with me as the other two)! Keep up the good work!

Jojo Moyes is now my favourite author!
The first book I read of hers was Me Before You and wow I can honestly say its THE best book I have ever read and the only book to ever make me cry!
I have since read Silver Bay and am next to read The Ship Of Brides
Jojo turns words into pure intrigue and magic and always includes something in the story that makes me never want to stop reading it and also never wanting the book to end!
I always hold my breath through the last chapters!
I would buy any books now by Jojo even if they didnt seem like my type of story purely for the magic her storys create and her writing style
Jojo herself seems lovely as I tweet her and tell her about the books I have read and she always takes the time to reply x

Thanks for your lovely comments. I’m so glad you’re still enjoying it. I’d LOVE Benedict Cumberbatch as Will. I hoped to have exciting news on the film front, but as these things go, it’s proven a bit complicated. But thank you for your kind words – and I’ll try to check in on this page more often!

OMG. I absolutely love this book ‘ Me before You ‘, I have never read a book that i couldn’t put down. I was so engrossed , that i felt i was falling in love with Will also, he was so charming. I cried so much, even the day after i finished it and was telling my daughter about it. This would make a great film. Absolutely BRILLIANT. well done. x

Just reading your book now- my sister in law gave me her copy and my brother read it in just few sessions. Its brilliant and I am loving reading it- such an emotive subject that is so well observed and imagined. I’ll be sorry to leave it,( am at the point where the Traynor’s agree to Lou’s requests for helping Will see the world), but thank you, and well done. Clever lady you are. Am spreading the word…

Wow that is quite some undertaking!!! I have the book on pre-order and am waiting with excitement for its pending arrival. I have been desperately seeking something to read since ‘Me Before You’. I pick up and put down novels, but nothing comes close. I have an empty void waiting to be filled and a thirst for another of your books. Good luck and keep them coming – but as you so rightly say, never compromise and settle for anything but the best – you have a reputation at stake…. all the best, and thanks x
