Hello - and apologies. I am guilty of criminal website neglect. It has not, however, been through lack of news.
So here it is - as I write, Me Before You has just spent its 5th week in the Top Ten. For several weeks, it has also been Penguin's top selling download, shifting more than 5000 a week. Not bad for so-called 'women's fiction'. (Unfortunately ebook figures don't count in any charts, apparently, which has made me wonder about all those articles on the demise of women's fiction, based on sales of hardbacks and paperbacks.)
Anyway. My previous eight books have barely snapped at the heels of the bestsellers' lists, so the last few weeks have been overwhelming. Actually, it has felt a little like Christmas every day. If I had a spare firstborn I would currently be trying to work out, like Solomon, how to divide it between Richard and Judy
